Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science aims at fostering problem solving skills and the programme is based on the foundations of computing, covered by the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or Engineering. This modular programme, has modules that cover new techniques, technologies, and tools, that expose students to advanced topics in computer science.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science programme is composed of modules on a variety of advanced topics in the computing field, and submission of a final project report or thesis. The programme comprises a set of core, Cross-Cutting, electives, and audited modules in Computer Science. The modules are broadly categorised into six tracks as listed below in the electives section.
Programme Aim
The Programme of Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science offers the opportunity for advanced study in computer science and allows for flexible plans A and B. Students will be able to focus their studies on areas such as artificial intelligence, data mining and modelling, intelligent systems, information security, design and programming computer games in games engineering, theoretical computer science or design and implementation of computer languages.

- Analyze, design and develop database solutions by translating database modeling theory into sound database design and implementation.
