Code Buddy Program

The Code Buddy program is a peer-mentorship program designed to support new students at the Department of Computing and Technology in getting settled into their respective programs. Mentors provide continuous guidance as mentees advance toward their goals during the first year of study.

Through the program, the department provides leadership training to senior students (the mentors) and equips them with the tools to become positive role models to their peers (the mentees). The mentors work alongside senior department staff to execute their duties through the department’s Coordinator in charge of students’ Liaison.

Through the Code Buddy program, the department hopes to train responsible leaders in various disciplines as well as provide much-needed support to the new students as they start their academic journey at Uganda Christian University.

Register to become a “Code Buddy” to the next cohort of students. To register, you must be a Senior Student (in the second year and above) at the Department of Computing and Technology.
